A second project, in which the
University of La Réunion also participated with CNES, from France, and
ISAS, from Japan,
is the functional demonstration model for the future space
solar power systems (SSP), also selected and presented at :
"Energy Transportation : The Microwave Solution"

The demonstrator
uses the technology of WPT for the transportation of energy between the scale
model
of the space power satellite and the display model of Planet Earth where the
potential collection sites
are enhanced by blinking lights that use the wireless energy.
On the Exhibition site of Electralis
2001, at the Palais des Sports in Liege, Belgium,
the attaché case model of SPS-2000
was presented by the researchers of the University of La Réunion
to a delegation from Thailand that was led by the General Manager of the Thai
national electrical utility (picture).
Many mountain sites in the North of Thailand could benefit soon from the new
